this is a resonant low pass filter with a variable resonance and a fairly wide cutoff range. the high resonance will also allow it to self-oscillate and produce a near perfect linear sinewave output oscillation for which the cutoff then becomes the pitch control. the range, though its very wide as it is now, can be extended to reach further down into the sub bass range very simply. you see i could only find 500k dual 16mm pcb mounted knurled pots but if you can find a dual 1M pot and you use that instead then the range will go down below human hearing. i used a monster dual 3M pot to test this and it works without a hitch. also i should note that this is designed for line level use so you can plug a drum machine or synth directly into it. if you are using a lower level device then you should use a booster or pre amp before it. not much else to say. there is an input and output, both with ground connections available so you can just add a couple jacks and then stuff it in a box and use it right away. also using different voltage power supplies will increase or decrease the range of operation respectively. so please take that into account. 9v recommended.
