::: STANDARD MoleS20r CALIBRATION PROCEDURE ::: http://thesquarewaveparade.com/MoleS20r.html a good full frequency range audio source such a CD or something similar will work best unless you have a true white noise generator ( which the pollen is not btw). ::: to set the res max level ::: - gain / dist set far left - cutoff at about half - res at max - mode / bandpass insert small screw driver gently into the right side internal trim pot and slowly adjust it in either direction until you are familiar with the result. when facing the right side of the box the control will increase the max possible resonance if turned clockwise. set this to the maximum res you will want possible on the top control knobs. setting this to a point just before self oscillation will be handy for live use to keep you from accidentally hurting everyone. please be certain to test your setting in each pass mode before concluding ::: to tune the cutoff pitch ::: - gain / dist set far left - cutoff / any - res at max - mode / bandpass insert small screw driver gently into the right side internal trim pot and slowly adjust it in either direction until you are familiar with the result. when facing the left side of the box the control will increase the pitch of the cutoff if turned counter clockwise. this control will at the same time alter your lowest possible cutoff freq so keep that in mind when making adjustments. the best chose if you are not concerned with tuning is to turn the main cutoff to the most counterclockwise position, leaving your main cutoff with its fullest possible range ( which is how its shipped ). please be certain to test your setting in each pass mode before concluding ::: to set the highest cutoff level ::: - gain / dist set far left - cutoff at max - res at max - mode / bandpass this is only available by removing the bottom plate and rarely needs adjusting, though a considerable drop could alter its position i guess. in general if the highest point of the cutoff control isn't to your liking or memory then give it a shot. you will find a blue sealed trim pot staring you in the face just right of center on the pcb once you are inside. begin adjusting the trim to your liking while listening to the result. please be certain to test your setting in each pass mode before concluding note ::: the reason for the bandpass mode selection is that the band will take a tiny bit more gain to hit self osc then the other two. if you were to base your max setting in high or low mode then your band mode could seem to not be capable of higher res settings or self oscillation
